Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai – one of the most successful series from the popular manga, Weekly Shōnen Jump – and spin-off of the original Dragon Quest game, is getting a new anime and game release.
The long-running manga was originally available in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1989 until 1996 and was written by Riku Sanjo, and illustrated by Koji Inada. It followed the adventures of a 12-year-old boy named Dai who sets out on a quest to defeat a menacing and newly resurrected Demon King. There was also a 46-episode anime adaptation made by Toei Animation which aired from 1991 to 1992.
The new Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai anime will also be made by Toei Animation and will start airing in fall 2020, however, we are still waiting for more information regarding the release of the game.
