On the 25th of March, Kochi Prefecture in Japan suspended Hideyuki Kawamura (54), chief of the Agricultural Infrastructure Division, for six months for attempting to secretly photograph female high school students underwear on a commuter train. The chief executive resigned on the same day.
In an interview with the prefecture, Hideyuki Kawamura reportedly said:
“I started using it 15 years ago and stopped after about five years, but when I changed my smartphone and the camera became better, I thought I could use it for secret photography.”
