Japan has Tokyo Disneyland, great for everyone, but there’s going to be a land opening just for adults in Tokyo’s red light district of Kabukicho, SOD LAND. If you know JAV then you know one of the major studios that makes it is SOD (Soft On Demand). SOD already has a small casual bar in Akihabara and Nakano but they’re expanding with a whole 5 story building filled with Japanese Adult Video stars. From fresh faced debuts to veterans in the industry, you’ll find lots of girls to get to know better while they serve you food and drink.
Opening on October 10th, SOD LAND will be 5 floors filled with fun, as seen by the picture above.
Starting from the basement, this floor will be filled with fresh faced actresses who just debuted; hence the floor name “Newcomer Adult Film Actress Floor.” These girls will be serving food and drink in a casual bar atmosphere. This is a great place to meet a particular new comer you like before she gets very popular. That way you can show your support early on and she’ll likely remember your name and face if you see her often enough.
The first floor will be a general guide area, gift shop, sticker booths, gacha capsule machines (maybe they’ll be filled with used panties), and where you settle your bill from your time of fun in SOD LAND.
The second floor is the “Kakubutsu Salon” where you can drink with women who work in Japan’s more risqué adult industry, fuzoku. This includes erotic massages, hostess bars, and more.
The third flood is where you go to meet SOD more famous JAV stars, hence the name “Famous Adult Actress Bar,” aka Syain Bar. It’s where you go to experience a wonderful time talking to your favorite actress and get to know her better over drinks. In fact, SOD has described this floor as “A space of dreams where you can become friends with famous actresses while drinking.” Not a bad combo.
Lastly we have the fourth floor which will have the “SILENT BAR.” The name has no secret meaning behind it as this floor is where actresses will mix and serve patrons drinks, while wearing bikinis mind you, behind a one way mirror as you silently watch the beauty in front of you.
This is a bold undertaking by SOD but I can see this being popular with not only locals but overseas visitors as well, especially since Kabukicho is frequently visited from overseas travelers. Despite it’s reputation, Kabukicho has lots of famous and popular tourists spots, including the Robot Restaurant, giant Godzilla sticking his head and arm on top of a building, and a variety of tourist friendly restaurants.
There will be COVID-19 prevention put into place for the safety of the actresses and the customers, including temperature checks and partitions put up between everyone. You can get a general idea of what it is from the illustration of SOD LAND from earlier.
What’s the bill you ask? It’s actually not too bad as the majority of the bill with be the food and drink you order. Normally at a similar hostess bar you’re expected to not only pay for your drinks but the girl you’re drinking with as well. Besides the food and drink there’s also a admission fee of 500 yen per 30 minutes. Not too bad considering you get to talk to Adult Video Stars and enjoy a nice meal too.
