VR Urination Simulator at Nico Nico Choukaigi the Epitome of Otaku Culture

At the recent Nico Nico Choukaigi 2025, a virtual reality experience named “Shouben Kozou VR” (the name of a cupid-like statue urinating into a fountain) was unveiled, allowing participants to simulate urination while being verbally berated by a succubus cosplayer.

The exhibit, created by the self-proclaimed “fantasy inventor” ZAWAWORKS, featured a succubus cosplayer who insults users with phrases like “ザァコ♡” (“Zako♡”), a Japanese term meaning “weakling” or “loser.”

The VR setup was designed to provide a realistic experience of urinating in public, accompanied by the succubus’s taunts, aiming to evoke a mix of discomfort and amusement among participants.

The game has players urinating on the fuses of bombs to prevent them from exploding.

Far from being mere absurdity, spectacles like this show the boundless creativity and fearless spirit of Japan’s otaku culture, a world where even the strangest ideas are given the freedom to flourish.
