Kinoshita, now 29 and performing as Bukkoro Momoka, joined NMB48 in 2010 as a first-generation member and left in 2017. Back then she already stood out a little — dyed hair, a slightly sharper look than the usual “pure idol” package. That version of her is gone.
These days the tattoos run across her body like one connected piece instead of scattered flash. A spider on the neck has been around since about 2020. Arms, legs, chest, the works. On a recent Abema show, Ai no Hyena, she rolled up her sleeves, lifted a leg, and casually told the studio it was all linked. The comedians lost it. One of them asked how many spots she had. Her answer was basically: that’s not how this works anymore.
The detail that really set the internet off was the right chest tattoo: the hiragana for “migi oppai.” Yes, that is what it says.
She also dropped that even during the NMB48 years she was already messing with body modification on the quiet — metal implanted under the skin, not tattoos, because an idol group is not exactly tattoo-friendly. That tracks with the person she always seemed to be under the uniform.
Tattoos are still a loaded look in Japan. Onsen, gyms, some workplaces, the usual side-eye. More female celebrities have been showing ink lately, but “former 48-group idol covered from neck to shin” is still going to split the comments into “she looks incredible” and “this is too much.” Both camps showed up immediately.
She’s still making music. Next live date that’s been floated is October 12 at Spotify O-Nest in Shibuya. Whether you like the new look or think she vandalized a perfectly good idol face, she’s clearly not trying to look like 2013 Momoka anymore. That part is finished.
