With Projekt Melody being one of the most popular VTubers at the moment, there are sure fire a lot of collaborations and merchandise. About 2 years ago we had the Official Projekt Melody Onahole by otonaJP which had been trending their best seller charts for months and months.
With a sales price of about $45 US at the time it was quite affordable and had tons of good reviews on their page. However, seeing what VShojo and Projekt Melody have pulled off recently left the team here at R18Japan speechless. After the original Projekt Melody Onahole had been discontinued over at otonaJP, After Dark had stepped in it seems and they teamed up for a new Onahole, featuring Melody.
The thing here is however that it literally costs almost THREE times as much as the original one from otonaJP. Being packed in with a USB warmer and small lube, perhaps worth $10 does certainly not really help taking the edge of this heft price tag which feels like a rip off towards melody’s large community.
What are your thoughts on it? Do you think this price tag is justified? Similar sized Onaholes from Japan do often costs only a fraction of what they are asking here.
It’s sad that it was discontinued at otonaJP but with new faces stepping in such as FeFe, Vexoria and more, VTuber fans surely have options, affordable options.
Indeed seems like a rip off. I can get 2 Meiki Onaholes from Japan with shipping for this. What a load of bullcrap they are pulling here. I hate it when Influencers use their community this way.
