Tokyo Man Arrested After Exposing Himself & Throwing Urine on Woman’s Legs

A 26-year-old company employee was arrested at Tokyo Metro’s Edo-gawabashi Station after exposing his lower body and throwing urine onto the legs of a 38-year-old woman from behind.

Police reported that the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. inside Edo-gawabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line. According to investigators, the suspect — Riku Sano, 26, a company employee living in Bunkyo Ward — allegedly exposed his lower body before approaching a woman from behind and splashing urine onto her legs, soiling her pants.

The woman immediately restrained Sano on the spot, and police arrested him in the act on suspicion of property damage. Sano has reportedly admitted to the crime, telling officers, “There’s no mistake that I threw urine.”

Police say the suspect and victim had no prior connection. The Metropolitan Police Department is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and Sano’s motive.
