Jun Amaki Ties the Knot with Keirin Cyclist Yuki Sasaki

Well, the rumors are finally confirmed. Retiring gravure idol Jun Amaki just announced she’s getting married to keirin track cyclist Yuki Sasaki.

On August 23 she dropped a sweet post with a photo of the two of them — Jun in a wedding dress, standing next to her new husband and his bike right there on the track. In the statement she wrote:

“I am deeply grateful to have reached this important milestone, thanks to the people I have worked with, the fans who have always supported me, and everyone else who has stood by me. I want us to be a happy couple who can still hold hands even when we’re old and gray. While supporting him from right by his side, I will continue to walk my path as Jun Amaki, never forgetting to be grateful.” Pretty wholesome.

Jun is about to turn 31 and already announced her retirement from gravure earlier this summer (officially August 10), so the timing makes sense. Still, she managed to keep the whole relationship completely under wraps until now.

Apparently the pair only met last year. They first crossed paths at a dinner in Tokyo where the other two people cancelled last-minute, leaving just the two of them. One thing led to another, and here we are.

Sasaki is also 31 and based in Gunma. Fans are of course wondering what he thinks of all those past photo books where Jun showed off that famous figure (sideboob, that shapely butt, the works). But honestly? The guy gets the full experience every day. Hard to be mad about the rest of us only getting the teaser.

Jun’s been part of the scene since her Kamen Joshi days in the mid-2010s, and it’s a little sad to see her step away from the spotlight. At the same time, she looks genuinely happy. Wishing the newlyweds all the best — and honestly, it wouldn’t be surprising if baby news follows sooner rather than later.
