A snack bar owner in Nishitokyo was found dead in her own shop, and her ex-husband was lying there injured right next to her. We still don’t have the full picture of what went down, but it looks like she had been dealing with serious domestic violence, revenge porn, and harassment from him for a while.
What happened
On March 25, 2025, a neighbor called the cops (dialed 110) after noticing water pouring out of Snack Bar Kasumi near Hoya Station. When police showed up, they found 37-year-old Tokuyama Tomomi and a man in his 40s both on the floor covered in blood. She had multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was unconscious and rushed to the hospital. Cops also found a fruit knife nearby.
The guy turned out to be her ex-husband, but the media hasn’t named him yet. No witnesses, so right now it’s basically his word against… well, nothing, since she’s gone. He’s the only one who can tell what happened, and you can guess he’ll try to spin it in his favor.
Locals who knew her described Tokuyama as having that classic gyaru or “yankee” vibe — tough, street-smart way of talking and carrying herself. She had moved her bar from Ōizumi-gakuen in Nerima to Nishitokyo, and she might’ve had a kid too.
The scary history of abuse
This wasn’t out of nowhere. Back in May 2023, during their messy divorce, someone (pretty clearly him) tried to drive a car straight down the stairs into her basement-level shop. He then jumped out, ran inside, and smashed a bottle over her head. She called the police and was super apologetic to the neighbors, even bringing them waffles to say sorry for the trouble.
Just days before the murder, he allegedly uploaded a revenge porn video to YouTube under the username “kraokesumacksumi.” It showed a couple having sex in a car, and a tattoo made it obvious it was her. (The video and account got taken down afterward.) She reportedly went to the police about it, but it’s unclear what they actually did. Same with the earlier assault — no one knows if he faced real consequences.

It’s just another heartbreaking case where a woman was clearly in danger from a violent ex, and it feels like the system didn’t protect her in time. Really sad stuff.
