What happens after a porn career ends? A lot of people just fade out. Some stick around the edges of the industry. A few make a clean break into something completely different.
Shion Hanabuki, also known during her career as Hikaru Natsuki, is one of those rare cases. The 23-year-old from Kanagawa has retired and is now working as a programmer.
She debuted under the Natsuki name in late 2022 and spent 2023 as a Faleno actress. Last year she stepped away from the industry entirely. According to her new social media, she had to give up her old account (and its 20,000 followers) because her former agency kept control of it. She now goes by Noa.
These days she’s focused on web development and automation. She’s open about using Claude to help with the work, which is a pretty modern approach to the job. She’s also promoting her services and inviting people to DM her if they want consultations.
It’s a solid pivot. Not every retired AV actress ends up writing code, but Hanabuki seems to be making it work. From filming scenes to debugging scripts — that’s a career switch you don’t see every day.
