This past Monday around 7 a.m., a 58-year-old guy from Nagaizumi in Shizuoka Prefecture was riding the Tokaido Line heading east from Mishima Station. Instead of minding his own business, he pulled out his smartphone and tried to snap some upskirt photos of a teenage girl on the same train. Classic chikan move — stay sneaky, hope she doesn’t notice, and bolt at the next stop.
Except this girl was having none of it.
When the train pulled into Atami Station (just two stops later), the guy got off thinking he was home free. Big mistake. The teen girl straight-up confronted him and personally marched the pervert over to the station’s police box. She looked the officers dead in the eye and said, “He took voyeuristic photos of me.”
Cops checked his phone right there and found the incriminating shots. Boom — immediate arrest on suspicion of attempted unauthorized photography for sexual purposes. The man even admitted it, telling police, “There is no mistake that I took the photos surreptitiously.” Investigators are now digging through the rest of his phone data to see if he’s connected to other similar incidents in the area.
What makes this extra cool is that they didn’t know each other beforehand. This wasn’t some “oh crap, she knows who I am” situation — dude just got owned by a brave girl who refused to stay quiet or scared. Whether she physically escorted him or just had that unstoppable “you’re coming with me” energy, the result was the same: creep in custody.
