Her next S1 release on September 22 is the last JAV you’ll see from her for a while. After that, she’s off the schedule. No comeback date. No “see you in spring.” Just a break that lasts until she decides it doesn’t.
She told fans in mid-August, right around the anniversary of her debut. That timing wasn’t random. She originally figured five years would be enough. She stayed for six. Somewhere in that extra year the spark for showing up on set started to fade, and retirement started looking like the clean option.
A makeup artist who’s been with her since the beginning talked her out of a full exit. The advice was basically: you don’t have to slam the door. Rest. Come back if you still want this later. That was enough. Her office and S1 both said the same thing — take the time, the door stays open.
Knowing the break was coming actually changed the last stretch of filming. The shoots stopped feeling like an endless loop and started feeling like work she could finish well. She ended up happier with those titles than she expected.
Events aren’t going anywhere. She’s been leaning that direction already, so fan meetings in Japan will keep happening, and the livestreams stay. What’s disappearing for now is the adult video pipeline.
This isn’t a retirement announcement dressed up as something softer. It’s a veteran who ran the planned distance, went a little further, then chose rest over forcing another year she didn’t feel. When — or if — she wants to shoot again, she’ll say so. Until then, the set can wait.
