A 53-year-old middle school teacher from Kobe got arrested after getting caught secretly filming a woman’s chest with a pair of high-tech spy glasses inside a shopping mall.
The guy’s name is Kazuo Kogami. He’s a municipal middle school teacher, and the incident went down at a mall in Itami City (Hyogo Prefecture).
How he got caught
Kogami was hanging around the gacha (capsule toy) corner acting super weird and standing way too close to a 26-year-old woman. Another male shopper noticed something was off, walked up, and confronted him.
When the teacher straight-up admitted he was filming her, the bystander immediately called the cops. Legend behavior.
The gear
He was rocking a pair of spy glasses with a tiny camera hidden right in the bridge between the lenses. One button press and it starts recording. Super discreet pervy tech.
Police seized the glasses and found footage of multiple other women already on them. They’re now digging through everything and looking into how long this has been going on.
His confession is wild
Once arrested, Kogami didn’t even try to deny it. He admitted he’s had a full-blown fetish for secretly filming women’s cleavage for nearly 20 years.
He told cops:
“For nearly 20 years, I have been interested in women’s cleavage, and I had been secretly filming using a pen-type camera.”
And the reason he drove more than 20 kilometers from Kobe all the way to Itami?
“I thought I would do it at a store where students from the school I work at wouldn’t come.”
Yeah… let that sink in. A middle school teacher choosing his hunting ground specifically so he wouldn’t run into his own students.
Police are currently investigating whether he’s done a lot more over the past two decades. Given the glasses already had multiple victims on them and he’s been at this for 20 years, it feels like this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Creepy doesn’t even begin to cover it. A guy who’s supposed to be teaching kids is out here weaponizing spy glasses to film random women’s chests in public.
