Sony Interactive Entertainment to close UK-based Manchester Studio

Sony Interactive Entertainment will close its Manchester studio – formerly know as North-West Studio – which was established in 2015. 

Sony stated the reason for closure as “part of our efforts to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness”. The studio was initially founded to create original PlayStation VR games. It reportedly working on an unannounced project. 

Only Media Molecule and London Studio now remain as Sony’s UK teams.
